In the electrical industry, box type substations are the most familiar electrical equipment products, but how much do you know about modular box type substations? Today, let's popularize it for everyone.
1. Structure of Combined Box Substation
The combined box type substation is a compact, small, economical and practical power distribution equipment that places the transformer body, high-voltage load switch, fuse and high-voltage and low-voltage wiring in a common closed oil tank, and uses transformer oil as the insulation medium between live parts and to the ground.
Composite box type substations generally use the following two combination methods of energy-saving composite transformers. The core material of the transformer is generally high-quality grain oriented cold rolled silicon steel sheets or high-efficiency energy-saving amorphous alloy sheets.
(1) ZG type common box combined oil immersed transformer. The transformer places high-voltage load switches, fuses, and other protective and control appliances, as well as the transformer core body, in the same oil tank.
(2) ZF type split box combined oil immersed transformer. The transformer oil tank is equipped with two independent closed units, one of which is equipped with high-voltage load switch, fuse and other control and protection appliances, and the other is equipped with transformer core.
The transformer body and the combined box type substation box form a whole, and the heat dissipation surface of the transformer is exposed outside the substation box. A plug-in fully insulated cable head is used to connect to the power supply. The combined box type substation box is equipped with high-voltage and low-voltage compartments. The front of the box is equipped with high and low voltage operation intervals, which are equipped with high and low voltage terminals, load switch operation handles, no-load voltage regulating switches, plug-in fuses, pressure relief valves, oil temperature gauges, oil level gauges, etc. The high and low voltage compartments are equipped with interlocking devices, and when the low voltage compartment door is not opened, the high voltage compartment door cannot be opened. The plug-in fuse (primary protection) is connected in series with the backup protection fuse to form a secondary protection.
Install low-voltage control appliances (low-voltage main switch and various branch outlet switches, etc.) and manual or automatic reactive power compensation devices and other electrical settings in the low-voltage interval according to the required wiring scheme.
The combined box type substation can be equipped with metering devices as needed, and can be equipped with high and low voltage lightning arresters, phase loss controllers, intelligent undervoltage controllers, condensation controllers, live displays, fault indicators, telemetry and signal comprehensive distribution measuring instruments, and other protection and monitoring devices.
The overall dimensions of a combined box type substation generally do not exceed 2 meters (in length) × 1.8 meters (width) × 2.2 meters (height).
