From the perspective of appearance and structure, the electric control cabinet and distribution cabinet (distribution board) belong to the same category, while the electric control box and distribution box belong to the same category.
The electric control box and distribution box are sealed on six sides and generally installed on walls. There are knockout holes on the top and bottom of the box, which is conducive to the entry and exit of cables and cables into the motor control and distribution box.

The actual sealing performance of the distribution board must be specified when ordering. For example, if five distribution boards are installed side by side continuously, only the first one on the left must have a partition, the fifth one on the right must have a partition, and the second, third, and fourth panels must have both upper and lower sides open. If a distribution board is installed separately, there must be partitions on both sides.
In most cases, the back of the distribution board is fully open, and according to customer requirements, a door can also be provided at the back, which is not only anti fouling but also convenient for use and maintenance.
From a functional perspective, distribution boards, cabinets, and boxes belong to the same category, while electric control boxes and cabinets belong to the same category.
Generally speaking, a distribution board distributes electrical energy to subordinate distribution cabinets or boxes, or immediately distributes electrical energy to distribution machinery and equipment. Distribution cabinets and boxes immediately distribute electrical energy to distribution machinery and equipment, and sometimes distribution cabinets are also used to distribute electrical energy to subordinate distribution boxes.
Electric control boxes and cabinets are mainly used to operate power distribution machinery and equipment, while also serving the purpose of distributing electrical energy to power distribution facilities.
The distribution cabinet, distribution box and distribution panel are mainly installed with knife switch, knife fuse switch, air switch, fuse, magnetic starter (contactor), thermal relay, and sometimes current transformer, voltage transformer, ammeter, voltmeter, watt hour meter, etc. In addition to the above electrical components, the electric control cabinet and electric control cabinet are also installed with intermediate relay, time relay, control button, indicator light Switching and control equipment for transfer switches and other functions.
Some even assemble variable frequency governors, PLCs, microcontroller designs, I/O conversion components, AC/DC power supply and DC transformer voltage stabilizing power supply in electric control boxes and cabinets, while others continue to install digital display instruments for temperature, working pressure, and total flow on top of the electric control boxes and cabinets.
