Busbars are becoming increasingly common in our daily lives, especially as electrical appliances become more and more advanced, busbars are also emerging endlessly.
Considering this issue, today we will share with you the knowledge of busbar installation and busbar duct installation. Firstly, let's popularize the relevant knowledge of busbar trunking. The busbar trunking is a metal device composed of copper and aluminum wires, which is completely enclosed and used to disperse the various air type plug-in busbar trunking in the system, dense insulation plug-in busbar trunking, and high-strength plug-in busbar trunking. Next, let's share how the bus duct is installed. Let's take a look at the specific content together.
1. Installation of busbar duct
As we all know, this is fixed through the top plate and then through the bottom plate with various channel steel supports. When crossing the building, settlement joints or expansion joint can be made. Facilities suitable for the building structure can be used to prevent the fracture of the bus connection level, which will affect our normal power distribution, so we must pay attention to this aspect.
Vertical installation of bus duct
1. Measure the position at the reserved hole crossing the floor slab first, connect the two angle steel brackets with the bus duct with bolts, and then use the supplier's matching bolts to cover the shockproof spring and gasket, tighten the nuts and fix them on the channel steel bracket. The number of spring support groups shall be specified by the supplier based on the type and capacity of the bus duct
2. Fix the busbar duct on the "-" angle steel bracket using a horizontal pressure plate, bolts, nuts, flat washers, and spring washers. Then install section by section upwards, ensuring the verticality of the bus duct (using a magnetic force hammer to hang the vertical line), adding a cover plate at the terminal and fastening it with bolts.
Horizontal installation of bus duct
1. Horizontal horizontal installation uses horizontal pressure plates, bolts, nuts, flat washers, and spring washers to fix the bus duct (horizontal) to the angle steel suspension bracket
2. Horizontal side lying installation. Fix the bus duct (side lying) to the angle steel bracket using side mounting pressure plates, bolts, nuts, flat washers, and spring washers. When installing the bus duct horizontally, it is necessary to ensure the levelness of the bus duct, and add terminal covers at the terminals and fasten them with bolts.
Connection of bus duct
1. Insert the small end of the bus duct into the large end of another bus duct, place matching insulation plates between and outside the buses, and then wear insulation bolts and flat washers. Spring washer, then screw on the nut, tighten with a torque wrench to the specified torque, and finally fix the upper and lower cover plates.
2. The busbar connection is connected with insulated bolts. The torque of the bus duct below 630A must reach 55N · m; The torque above 800A must reach 115 N · m (55 N · m for M10 and 115 N · m for M16)
3. After the bus duct is connected, its outer shell has been connected as a grounding main line. Connect the grounding bolts on the incoming bus duct, branch switch wire outer shell, and the bus duct outer shell with 16mm2 soft copper wire. For the three wire four wire system, make sure to connect with the ground
Installation precautions
1. After the installation of the bus duct is completed, further adjustments should be made to ensure the verticality and levelness of the bus duct;
2. When installing the straight section of bus duct, one expansion joint shall be added every 100m;
3. During installation, measures must be taken to prevent water, moisture, and foreign objects from entering. After installation, the door must be closed and locked;
4. The grounding jumper plate connection of the bus duct shell should be firm to prevent loosening, and both ends of the bus duct shell should be connected to the protective grounding.
